The Annual Health Insurance Open Enrollment is delayed to September 2020 and the transition of all State of CT employees to Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, which was scheduled to occur, is delayed to October 1, 2020.
The delayed transition means that all employees, retirees, and dependents will remain in the plan and with the carrier that they currently have – with no changes – until October 1, 2020. There will also be no change to medical/prescription or dental rates until that time. Any health insurance open enrollment events previously scheduled for in-person or online will be rescheduled through the Office of the State Comptroller Healthcare Policy and Benefits Services Division.
