Brothers & Sisters,
On Friday, March 24th , there is a public hearing at the LOB on numerous anti labor bills. These bills would eliminate many, if not all, state employee and municipal employee collective bargaining rights and thus, is a direct attack on the fundamental bargaining rights of all state and municipal workers.
These bills are a direct attack on collective bargaining. If these bills are passed, there would be no more collective bargaining in the State of Connecticut. The legislature could decide that everyone is going to be on a 401K instead of a pension, your heath benefits and wages.
Bills being heard on March 24th
It is important that there is a large turnout of public employees at the Labor Committee’s Public hearing and that you contact your state representative and senator and let them know that you oppose these bills. It is crucial that we face our attackers with the real life faces of those whose fundamental rights they are trying to take away.
The hearing will be held on March 24th.
For our members that cannot make the rally, it is equally important that you either call or email your state representative and senator and let them know that you oppose these bad bills.
If you don’t know who you Representative is, or don’t know how to contact them, the information can be found here.
